We met the owner of the resort last night and he graciously comped us a bottle of champagne. We sipped and soaked it all in.. so sad that it's coming to an end.
There are waterfalls on the property and we decided to fit in the hike before breakfast today. It turned out to be the most strenuous activity of the whole freakin trip! Why do I feel so old and busted? Must start running and hiking again at home. We hit up Dominical one more time before the 3 hour drive back to San Jose and I pick up a pretty turquoise ring handmade by a Chilean artist named Carolina. As I thanked her, she said "please take care of it, I made it with a lot of love".. love supporting local merchants! Hooray for meaningful souvenirs.. my ring and my 5k tee.
Drich got us safely back into San Jose and we checked into our last hotel of the stay. Mas mejor because it's not super sketchy aka not in the middle of downtown. Looking back, I'm amazed at how much we did while still managing to relax our butts off. This has got to be the best honeymoon of all time. Joel and Ira's comes close though, I was there LOL..
