Congrats, Sonny and Carlene! They are off enjoying their fantastic honeymoon at Disney World.. I have a thing for tagging along on honeymoons, but was unable to swing it this time.
Due to engine issues, I haven't flown in a couple months. You can imagine how nervous I was.. I was rusty, feared it'd be like starting all over and the one day I skip deodorant, it's 98 degrees outside. On top of that, while inbound for landing, I contacted tower and told them my position. A flustered controller told me to hold my altitude because someone was right under me. What!? How much under me? A yard? A foot? Lucky for me they were a lot of feet under. Phew but still a tad unnerving. Highlight of my lesson came when I touched down and traffic controller Dave exclaimed "Awesome! Look at you! You greased that landing.. crosswind even.. great job! Alright!" What? They can say stuff like that? They're normally so rigid and robotic :) So I had no reason to be nervous.. I did well while managing to stay sweet smelling!
Yesterday, I scared myself a bit by repeating that I've only known Drich for 3 years. 3 short years!.. and I'm about to share a home, babies, hair ties... everything with this guy! Crazy.
Today's lesson: Don't be nervous. Now I will google what it means to "grease" something.
